can’t sleep, in an hour maybe……

Thanks for the friend confirmation.

Pareng Garmie, mareng Beth B., pareng Ferdie, Jhenie, Libby, Imee, Jonhny, Joselito, Angie, Eric B., Danny…..sana wala akong name na nakalimutan…

Chikahan nalang next time….tulog muna. Pero after an hour checking email, posting, thanking friend confirmation, time to tulog na. Muli, thanks!!!

Just have played ball from 2100H to 2300H and as before, it will take me about two hours before I can force myself to retire and sleep.
I was quite pleased with the result of this 2 hour game / practice because although i do not expect myself to impress anybody with spectacular moves, keeping up with the pace of the game is an achievement.
Why so? Because my last game was a year , six months, and 23 days. More or less. And in between my last game, a championship game between Angono vs the Workers, I have jogged about 3 times all in this year.
With this game’s result, I am looking forward to the next game, God willing.
Now, back to my challenge. What can I achieve in an hour online.
Post this one, thank the confirmed friends in friendster, check e mail, check the detail of Brush and Shutter schedule and hopefully accomplish more….. and I will not spell check and preview this post.

I think, I will choose to be busier in my multiply blogposts…http://butzyzk.multiply.com/

if you can find time to visit…. please do.

Thanks!!!

Anger management tips

October 4th, 2007 by mypersonalrevenge

For a friend and everyone.

Controlling your temper isn’t always easy. But these effective anger management techniques will help give you the upper hand.

Here are some anger management tips to help get your anger under control:

§             Take a "time out." Although it may seem cliche, counting to 10 before reacting, or leaving the situation altogether, really can defuse your temper.

§             Do something physically exerting. Physical activity can provide an outlet for your emotions, especially if you’re about to erupt. Go for a brisk walk or a run, swim, lift weights or shoot baskets.

§             Find ways to calm and soothe yourself. Practice deep-breathing exercises, visualize a relaxing scene, or repeat a calming word or phrase to yourself, such as "take it easy." You can also listen to music, paint, journal or do yoga.

§             Once you’re calm, express your anger as soon as possible so that you aren’t left stewing. If you simply can’t express your anger in a controlled manner to the person who angered you, try talking to a family member, friend, counselor or another trusted person.

§             Think carefully before you say anything so that you don’t end up saying something you’ll regret. Write a script and rehearse it so that you can stick to the issues.

§             Work with the person who angered you to identify solutions to the situation.

§             Use "I" statements when describing the problem to avoid criticizing or placing blame. For instance, say "I’m upset you didn’t help with the housework this evening," instead of, "You should have helped with the housework." To do otherwise will likely upset the other person and escalate tensions.

§             Don’t hold a grudge. Forgive the other person. It’s unrealistic to expect everyone to behave exactly as you want.

§             Use humor to release tensions, such as imagining yourself or the other person in silly situations. Don’t use sarcasm, though — it’s just another form of unhealthy expression.

§             Keep an anger log to identify the kinds of situations that set you off and to monitor your reactions.

§             Practice relaxation skills. Learning skills to relax and de-stress can also help control your temper when it may flare up.

A wonderful dream last night

September 26th, 2007 by mypersonalrevenge

I’ll never forget last night’s dream. In full color as if it is really happenning in front of me.

Perfect Justice in God’s Perfect Time

Perfect Justice in God’s Perfect Time

Dear Bro. Eli,

Please help me. I don’t know what to feel anymore. It seems like something is attacking my belief in God.

It all started when I read an article about children and women, lots of them, being sold as prostitutes all over the world. Most of the children don’t even know what sex is yet. These women and children are constantly raped, until they won’t pass as a virgin anymore, according to the article I’ve read. And when the children grow up, they don’t know anything but to sell sex so they have no choice but to do it to survive. The numbers of the victims are plenty, Bro. Eli. They are innocent children but they have been dragged into this kind of business. I believe you’ve also heard of this kind of thing, sex trafficking which is a big business done by many countries, especially in the third world.

Photo from: adsoftheworld.com

My problem is that, I don’t know what to think anymore. Something is lingering in my mind, telling me not to believe in God anymore, although I’m really, really trying hard to disregard this thought inside my mind but whenever I think of what’s happening to these innocent children and poor women, it really makes me sad. Why does God allow this to happen to many innocent Children? It makes me wonder also if God exists (although I really try hard to fight this thought) because of things like this that happen. I’m sorry if it seemed I’m questioning God’s authority, but I don’t really know what to do and think anymore. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for being so weak at this time but I really need your help in this.

What should I do? Please help me Bro. Eli.

Marcus

Dear Marcus,

Evil is everywhere. The whole world now “lieth in wickedness”.

(1 John 5:9) “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”

The root cause of all evil is the rebellious satan, that now deceive the world.

(Revelation 12:7-9) “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

There are religions or faith which does not believe in the existence of the devil. One good example is one of the false Christs prophesied by the Bible in the person of Jose Luis Miranda, which was interviewed by NBC, and said in international television that the devil or satan does not exist.

Some of the teachings of Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda, leader of Growing in Grace

…Sin no longer exist

…There’s no such thing as “the devil”

…Prayer is a waste of time

…All religious leaders are liars

The Bible never speaks of vain things or things unreal.

(James 4:5) “Do ye think that the Scripture saith in vain…”

Every word of God conveys truth and wisdom.

(Psalms 119:160) “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever.”

(Proverbs 8:8) “All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.”

The word of God speaks of the devil and demons. They are realities, although not seen by the human eyes. Their works and devices are manifested among human beings.

(Revelation 16:14) “For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”

The devil is not only concerned about the leaders of the world, but also to judges, magistrates, and religious leaders. Their victims are the innocent, the ignorant, and the poor.

(Job 9:24) “The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he?”

(2 Corinthians 11:13-15) “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

Some of their victims are the unsuspecting.

(Romans 16:17-18) “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which ye learned: and turn away from them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Christ, but their own belly; and by their smooth and fair speech they beguile the hearts of the innocent.”ASV

They even show miracles to deceive people.

(Matthew 24:24) “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

These are some of the tangible realities proving the existence of the devil and demons in this world. Anybody who will say that the devil and demons do not exist is showing their utter ignorance of God’s word and realities.

The evil that you are mentioning about children and women being exploited as sex slaves of the opportunistic, abusive, rich, and powerful people in society are works of the devil.

(James 3:15-16) “This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”

The evil that you see and hear makes you doubt of the existence of God. I am sorry to hear this from you. This is the common thinking of people who spend a little effort — or non at all, in searching for realities in life. They say that if God exist and is real, why does He allow these things to happen? But this thinking is neither logical nor scientific.

Scientifically, chaos is opposed to order. Mutation is opposed to the regular characteristics of a gene or a chromosome. It is an alteration of the normal process.

Do you believe that we have things, traits, and characteristics of every existing thing in this world which we may consider normal? I believe you do. Normally, a parent cares for his or her child. Normally, a hen cares for its chicks. Normally, a dove feed its young. Normal people have in them the feeling of love, care, compassion, and respect for others. This is reality. But there are those who murder and rape their own children. There are those who have no pity towards others. These are things abnormal. All these things are caused by the influence of a reality that exists: the devil.

The existence of the devil proves the existence of God. God hates evil. He does not want evil to happen to anyone; but there is another reality to consider. He has given His creatures the power to choose between good and evil. He made us with the power to decide for ourselves, to choose, to dislike — making us better than a robot. I will — and perhaps you, also — not want to be a robot. The greatest gift of God in our being is the power to decide for ourselves. He wants us to obey Him at will and not by force.

(Isaiah 1:19) “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land…”

The cause of evil is the improper use of our free will. But we must not doubt God’s justice. Victims of evil will be rewarded justice in God’s perfect time. The question with some of us is we only consider what is ‘now’ and what is ‘seen’. God is eternal; and there is eternity that comes ahead. Surely, every evil act will be punished and every victim will be comforted.

(Isaiah 13:11) “And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.”

He is not slow or slack about His promise, but is long-suffering for He waits for sinners to repent and realize their mistakes; and do not want anybody to perish.

(2 Peter 3:9) “The Lord is not slow about his promise as some count slowness, but is forbearing toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” RSV

This is being abused by many, but it will satisfy God’s justice for them when they are punished with eternal damnation.

(Ecclesiastes 8:11) “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”

(2 Thessalonians 2:11-12) “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

God is a God of perfect justice. Hope in your heart that there is a time — a perfect time for God’s intervention… and it is coming soon!

May God enlighten you.

God Bless you.>>>EFS

ano nga ba talaga, kuya?

‘Shroud of

Turin

’ awes Pampanga

Would you want to be one counted in as awed albeit the intrigued, by this exhibit? How much will this presentation charge to Juan’s hard earned money? Though those “keeping up with the Joneses” have plenty to spare, or as they want to make it appear to, I say this is just wasted money whichever case their “finances” stands at.

The big question is……Ano nga ba talaga, kuya? Totoo ba yang shroud of

Turin

?

Not digging deeper, you will be fooled that what is being presented is for real. Anyway, it was termed “holy” by the Catholics.

And in the end it they will say……

Archbishop Paciano Aniceto said though debates on whether the Shroud of Turin is indeed the burial cloth of Jesus of Nazareth or if it were only a medieval forgery, the spirit of the death of Christianity’s cornerstone should not be overshadowed by intrigues. “We should be more focused on the spiritual things and not on material things,” Aniceto said.

But the question remained unanswered….. Ano nga ba talaga, kuya? Totoo ba yang shroud of

Turin

?

Mypersonalrevenge: I may have erred in a point or two of my opinion here, my line of questioning, but this I am sure of: The Shroud of Turin is not the Shroud of Christ.

Stay on this road…….

July 5th, 2007 by mypersonalrevenge

This was in the news the past week……….

” With Cardona leading the way, the Phone Pals wrapped up the series, 4-2, and advanced to another race-to-four meeting with the Alaska Aces for the championship.

The former La Salle standout whose variety of hooks, floaters and jumpers shredded the defense and led to astonishing numbers in the week that was, including a career game.

Even Cardona himself was left dumbfounded at the 29.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.6 steals he averaged in TNT’s three games, including 32.5 points in their 112-111 and 122-110 wins that wrapped up the series.”

A fierce competitor.

Kailan ba yun?

Ah, that was about twenty years ago.

The memories. No regrets.

I knew where I was headed these days. Hope to stay in this path.

Ang Mama sa Kanto

June 27th, 2007 by mypersonalrevenge

my personal revenge

June 26th, 2007 by mypersonalrevenge

This blog’s title was inspired by Jackson Browne’s song.
One of his songs I particularly liked was titled My Personal Revenge.
Originally written by Tomas Borge, a Sandinista who was blindfolded and tortured for 18 months in Somoza’s jails and whose wife was gang-raped and murdered by soldiers in his presence.

Yet, in Christianity and Revolution, Borge stated…….
“After having been brutal tortured as a prisoner,
after having a hood placed over my head for nine months,
after having been handcuffed for seven months,
I remember that when we captured these torturers I told them:
‘The hour of my revenge has come: we will not do you even the slightest harm. You did not believe us beforehand; now you will believe us.’ That is our philosophy, our way of being.”

The song as translated in English by Jose Calderon:

My personal revenge will be the right
Of our children in the schools and in the gardens
My personal revenge will be to give you
This song which has flourished without panic
My personal revenge will be to show you
The kindness in the eyes of my people
Who have always fought relentlessly in battle
And been generous and firm in victory

My personal revenge will be to tell you good morning
On a street without beggars or homeless
When instead of jailing you I suggest
You shake away the sadness there that blinds you
And when you who have applied your hands in torture
Are unable to look up at what surrounds you
My personal revenge will be to give you
These hands that once you so mistreated
But have failed to take away their tenderness

It was the people who hated you the most
When rage became the language of their song
And underneath the skin of this town today
Its heart has been scarred forevermore

It was the people who hated you the most
When rage became the language of their song
And underneath the skin of this town today
Its heart has been scarred forevermore
And underneath the skin of this town today
Red and black, its hearts been scarred
Forevermore.

To this I say, Revenge is just.

This is what friends are for

This Is What Friends Are For

From: Ana

Email: megumi3007@yahoo.com

How can we maintain a friendship according to the bible?

Dear Ana,

In this world, the only thing permanent is change (thus, the saying goes).

Maintaining friendship with anybody entails a lot of guts, patience, and understanding. It is almost impossible to have a permanent friend in human society today. But what is impossible under human standards is possible with God.

When I was in elementary school, I have learned a proverb that says: “Make new friends, but don’t forget the old; for new ones are silver, and the old ones are gold”. Biblically speaking, friends can be part of the inheritance from fathers.

(Proverbs 27:10) “Thine own friend, and thy father’s friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother’s house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbor that is near than a brother far off.”

But how can we preserve friendship? We must know whom to befriend and the factors that will destroy the friendship! The God of the Bible defines for us a true friend.

(Proverbs 18:24) “There are friends who pretend to be friends, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” RSV

The closeness of a true friend is enduring.

(Proverbs 17:17) “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

A true friend’s criticism may hurt, but it is a sign of a true friend.

(Proverbs 27:6) “Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”

I have been following these examples set by the Bible regarding friendship, but those who do not understand, when I speak with frankness and truthfulness, with the intention to correct a beloved friend, sometimes turn to be a bitter enemy. If only people can see the heart, I should have made more friends than enemies. It happened to the apostles of Christ.

(Galatians 4:16-17) “Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth? Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may be zealous for them.” NIV

There is a Spanish proverb that says, “El enemigo peor es él que era una vez un amigo” (The worst enemy is he who was once a friend). Beware! Do not make enemies out of friends, but make friends out of enemies.

(1 Corinthians 9:20-23) “And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.”

Beware, also, of the words of a talebearer!

(Proverbs 16:28) “A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.”

If you want to maintain friendship, apply to yourself the virtues and values of a true friend. Do not expect it from your friend alone, it must be symbiotic. Jesus taught His disciples the greatest friendship attainable among human beings.

(John 15:13-15) “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”

The Disciples of Christ applied this friendship among brethren.

(3 John 1:4) “But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.”

Enduring friendship is attainable in the Church of God. Jesus and His disciples are the best of friends anybody can have.

God Bless,

EFS

In Friendster’s term, today i was born. Me along with 4 co- employees got to plant 16 trees today. A way of contributing to our environment. But a bigger  feeling of reaching out is in me for some time now. Been searching for a place to share. Today, Friendster it is!
